Success Stories
There is no better calling in the world than one that includes the ability to see children find their inner strength and confidence to take on the world around them each and every day. We get to see the joy and pride with the first time they get on top of their work, the first 100% that they really feel like they earned the first time they believe they can do anything. I can’t wait to see what each of these kids accomplishes out in the world.

From Our Parents:
Our son struggled during his early elementary school years. We tried conventional tutoring, summer enrichment programs and provided hours of at-home support each week. He wanted to do well. However, each grade became harder and more stressful than the year before. At the end of fourth grade, we knew we needed to try something different.
Through his then-current school, we were referred to the home school program at Brain Train Academy and began to explore it as an option for our son. Along the way, we had received an enthusiastic endorsement of another parent whose son was attending Brain Train Academy, and decided it was the “something different” that we needed as a family.
Early on, Bunny, Martha and the entire team of tutors at Brain Train began to rebuild our son’s confidence and his academic foundation. Almost instantly, the stress in our household evaporated. Our son, rather than being shuttled from tutor to tutor or spending hours each night on homework, began to have a normal childhood filled with after school activities.
As his confidence recovered, we saw significant improvements in his reading, writing and math. This continued throughout his time at Brain Train Academy. This year as he was preparing to return to a more conventional classroom experience, his time and work at Brain Train were rewarded with admission into three highly regarded middle schools. It was with great excitement that our once struggling elementary schooler now had multiple options for middle school to choose from.
We are very grateful to everyone at Brain Train Academy who helped our son. What was “something different” a few years ago, has become “something special” now.
Dad of 13 year old
We love that our kids enjoy coming and that it is such a comfortable, welcoming place to be. I think it’s great for kids to see other kids of different ages working on things so they see they aren’t alone
Mom of 10 and 7 year old students.
My boys have grown tremendously over the past 9 months and a lot (if not most) of that is contributed to the Brain Train and the work they have done. The growth they have made in school is leaps and bounds, from being behind at the beginning of the school year to being at grade level as we near the end of the school year. There were major attention/focus issues and implied control issues that, while not fully resolved, have made significant improvements as well. They are always happy to go into Brain Train and when I get sneak peaks of them working at pick up, they are always happy and loved by all.

Fantastic! Isabelle’s confidence has grown exponentially
Mom of 8th Grader
I wish we had come to Brain Train sooner. Bunny and Martha immediately picked up on signs my daughter was struggling with visual processing issues that had gone undetected for years because, with a lot of effort, she managed to perform well in school. Working with Martha has been a real game-changer in how she approaches her schoolwork.

I was recommended to come to the Brain Train after having some struggles during my sophomore year(academically). I was beginning to slip in some classes where I had once excelled. So we came to the Brain Train. I took a test that revealed that I struggled with my auditory skills. This was totally new; we had no idea that this was the issue.
I started going every week to the Brain Train to help bring up my auditory skills.Tara helped me every week and was so wonderful. I would go once a week to do auditory exercises for an hour. At first, I wasn’t sure what this would do for my life. But as time went on, I noticed myself more engaged in school. I wasn’t asking teachers to repeat things as much, and I understood content a lot quicker. It became so much easier to maintain better grades, which was critical to my junior year. Each week when I arrived, everyone was so welcoming and I am so greatfull there is such a giving program for kids like me who just need a little extra help.

Before coming to the Brain Train Learning Center, I had several serious processing issues that were negatively affecting my life and school performance. Inability to focus, procrastination, etc. All of which made it difficult to get things done and perform well in school. Over the course of 3 months, I have worked with the staff here on remedial programs to help fix these processing issues. And by the end of the first 2 months, I had experienced a massive increase in my processing abilities. Since then, I have continued to work on my executive processing skills so I can succeed in my endeavors. I would like to thank everyone here for being supportive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.
